Support solutions for essential building equipment
Support solutions for essential building equipment
In today's construction projects, building services supports are the foundation that keeps essential services running efficiently. As construction projects grow in scale and complexity, coordinating mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection services become increasingly challenging. Each discipline must work together seamlessly to achieve a safe, compliant and functional building.
At Sikla, we supply more than individual components we deliver complete support solutions for building services. From early planning to on-site installation, our modular steel support systems and BIM-ready design tools help you integrate services efficiently to reduce coordination issues and shorten installation times.
Our certified support systems can be adapted to almost any application, while lean logistics enable flexible pre-assembled modules and just-in-time delivery to keep your projects on schedule and within budget.
Sikla provides end-to-end solutions for:
Engineered to distribute loads safely across the roof, Sikla HVAC modular supports provide a secure and efficient solution for heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment. Supports can be configured to suit a wide range of applications, including:
Pipework
Ducting
Chillers
Air handling units
Achieve a high load-bearing performance while reducing overall weight and using minimal products for maximum efficiency. As rooftop installations grow in popularity, secure and non penetrative supports have become essential for ensuring safety, stability and long-term protection of the roof structure for:
Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing services
Access platforms and walkways
Louvre screens
A efficient way to route mechanical and electrical services safely and efficiently through a building. siFramo, Sikla’s modular steel framing system, enables design flexibility to create support tailored precisely to your application.
Whether assembled offsite in sections or delivered fully pre-assembled, Sikla risers offer fast installation with proven structural performance and configurations that fit your project requirements. Built for reliability and ease of integration, they help keep service routes organised, accessible and compliant.
Prefabrication brings speed, precision, and flexibility to building services projects. With Sikla’s modular support systems, pipes, ducting and cables supports, structures can be assembled offsite, reducing installation time and minimising on site disruption.
We can supply ready-to-install solutions that save time, cut costs and consistent quality.
Built offsite, to be installed with confidence and benefit from:
Shortened installation time
Reduced overall project timelines
Guaranteed installation accuracy
Zero onsite waste

What alternative support solution would you consider if traditional steel beams, for mechanical and electrical (M&E) supports, are delivered after your project deadline?

Rooftop walkways are required on the majority of Building Services projects for a safe way of passage around AHU’s, Chillers etc. and for maintenance access. Sikla have been working on the development & design of modular steel prefabricated walkway systems for many years (within Europe and most recently also into UK projects). So why has it been a success? Why should you build a prefabricated walkway system with siFramo? Because it makes your planning easier and it brings flexibility onsite! I will show you how, keep reading.

When siFramo was introduced in 2006, Building Services was not exactly what Sikla had in mind as a market. Nevertheless, the product system has succeeded in such projects. This article is to explain why. Since the Building Services industry is the only industry that finds siFramo occasionally expensive, this is also a reminder of where and when the product should be used or, to address the cost argument, where it should rather not be used. I have put the applications where siFramo offers a benefit in HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical installation projects in two categories: 1) Where – areas within the project and 2) When – circumstances around the project. So let us get started:
